Here is a photo of my Bubinga Double Inlaid Drone in F#m. This Drone will give you plenty of volume, a wonderful, clear voice and accurate tuning. The Bubinga is an African Rosewood which can be orange-brown to red, sometimes with purple grain. As with all my flutes, these are finished with a high gloss, clear polyurethane that brings out the natural beauty and luster in the wood. The dense, heavy wood gives this flute a clear, loud voice that can compete with any acoustic instrument. Of course, the drone side which can be played at will, gives you harmony with the minor pentatonic scale. The drone side plays the fundamental, F# in this case, which will play a unison with the lowest note and the octave. The sound of the drone is most haunting and hypnotic.
