Em Camphor Burl Native American Style Flute

Aromatic, Beautiful, Warm, Rich Tone W/Cocobolo Nest & Crushed Turquoise Bands

  • Camphor Burl Em Flute

Camphor. If you're old enough, your mother may have put oil of camphor in your ear to relieve an earache. Camphor has been used to treat respiratory tract diseases and to treat heart disease symptoms. Some people inhale camphor to reduce the urge to cough. I have to tell you that this is an aromatic wood. No, the odor is not really strong, but I guarantee that you will know this is not an ordinary wood. If you are sensitive to aromatic woods, this flute might not be for you.

It is totally beautiful and has a deep, rich tone. I've filled the voids that occur naturally in burls with crushed turquoise. The wood is strong and sturdy. I have incorporated a Cocobolo nest, upon which the bird sits. This nest helps to give this instrument an even bigger, more solid sound.

The Camphor Burl Em flute is long, 25" or so. The hole spread is not for a beginner or someone with small hands. I make my Em flutes with a 1" bore which gives the best tone, in my opinion. However an Em flute with a 1" bore has to be fairly long. It's a matter of physics, long flute, low tone, short flute, high tone. If you are an experienced player and/or have medium to large hands with flexible fingers, you'll probably be OK with a flute this size. Remember, I offer a "no questions asked" return policy on all the flutes that I make. Shipping is not refundable. If you acquire this instrument and find that it just doesn't work for out fo you, I will happily refund your purchase price within the first 30 days.

Take a listen. Peruse the photos. This is a fine instrument with a big tone. It will bring a lifetime of beatufiul music and joy. Feel free to contact me about this instrument, or any other instrument that I offer. Enjoy!
