A wonderful example of Macassar Ebony. Personally, I like the contrast of the dark and cream colors which have naturally occurred in this piece. The bronze raven skulls were made in Kyiv Ukraine. The symbol on top is called a Vegvísir which is is an Icelandic magical stave intended to help the bearer find their way through rough weather.

It's a bit of a heavy instrument, since it's made from Ebony, with a clear tone and requires a soft breath. If you listen to the sound samples below, you can hear the drone side jump up an octave on some of the phrases. This can come in handy, but it takes a little practice to learn to control.

The sides are Tiger Maple with inlays and the top is inlaid, as well.
