Tiger Maple/Bubinga/Purple Heart
Popular with many Native American flute aficionados, this is a beautiful, powerful flute. I'm using Tiger Maple for the body, the end caps are Purple Heart and Bubinga. The bird is Big Leaf Maple burl and I've inlaid 3mm cabochons along the top and around the end caps. Each flute will have a slightly different figure to the grain, but suffice it to say that I pick the best Tiger Maple I can find to build these flutes. Overall length for all keys will be around 26". My Em flutes have a pretty good reach between the holes, so if your hands are small or stiff, the Em may not be a good choice for comfort. F#m and Gm might might serve you better, physically.
Having said all that, this flute not only looks stunning, but she plays with a full, throaty voice.
