What an exciting find! I couldn't pass this gorgeous wood up. It doesn't come around very often. This is a Harmony Drone. In other words, you have four different styles of drone in one flute. (Of course, it makes a great single, as well.) Leave all the plugs in and it's a standard Gm Drone. Pull the bottom plug out and now it becomes a Bb drone with the Gm pentatonic scale, the Bb is a minor third above the G. Pull the two bottom plugs out and it the drone is now a C drone, which is a major fourth above the G. Pull all three and the drone becomes a D drone, which is a major fifth above the G. These notes all work will with the Native American Scale. I'll include three extra cedar plugs in case one or more happens to jump off into the Universe, never to be seen again.

The birds are created from Amboyna Burl and Fiddle Back Maple. The inlays for the holes are also Fiddle Back Maple. This instrument should provide a fabulous outlet for your creativity as well as a stunning show piece. Of course, this flute is not a "wall hanger". It is a fine musical instrument which should bring the owner a lifetime of Joy.
